In its simplest sense, history is a series of stories on a variety of topics. As students of history you might have certain topics you connect with and enjoy studying, but does that make other topics any less important? History is more than just as a collection of names, dates, facts and stories, it is a process of discovery that has a variety of concepts to establish what is or isn't historically important. As we move through CHC2D - Canadian History Since 1914, we will hopefully be investigating a variety of topics through these concepts so that you become more engaged in the process and recognize the history that is happening around us right now. Refer back to this page through the course so that we can connect any given topic to the concepts (developed and expanded upon in The Big Six - Historical Thinking Concepts).
